Romance & Money

Romance in March
For some St. Patrick's Day fun, plan
ahead. Buy some fresh strawberries and dip them in white chocolate that has been
tinted with green food color. Let them dry. Chill the champagne and glasses.
Pack it all away so your spouse won't see it.
Instead of doing whatever you usually do for St. Patty's Day, go to the ice or
roller rink and skate. Remember how to play. Tumble, fall, and giggle with each
other. It beats drinking green beer in a smoky bar. After sufficient bruising
and ribs that ache from laughter, go home, make a fire, watch Big Fat Greek
Wedding, and feed your spouse green chocolate covered strawberries, and
champagne. Nothing tickles the senses like laughter-filled romance.
It is the right time to design your ideal romantic getaway, keeping your budget
in mind. A major trip to someplace like Ireland, Italy, or Mexico may be in your
future. For now, collect your books and go somewhere you've never gone in your
own city. Have coffee and pastries, or splurge on Cosmopolitans or a nice bottle
of wine. Talk of your future plans, take notes, and start a file. You'll get
there someday. But for now, at least start the romantic journey.
