A Wedding in Paris

My friend, Linda, always had imagined celebrating her 50th birthday with the man she loved in Paris, the city she loved. She had found the man, and they planned to celebrate in Paris. So why not get married in this beautiful city by the Seine?
Linda, in the wedding business herself, contacted the French consulate and inquired about the possibilities of being married in France. She found out that it is easier for nonresidents to have a religious wedding ceremony if they already have been legally married in a prior civil ceremony. From home Linda organized the priest; asked their Parisian friend to be the witness; and ordered a flower bouquet from her favorite florist, the renown Christian Tortu. The couple had their civil ceremony just before they went on their trip.
On May 10 the priest met them and their witness, Jay, with their legal marriage papers in hand. Linda held her fabulous flower bouquet, and the couple was married at the American church, close to Musee d'Orsay.
